The earthquake has made us all look at life differently. And perhaps, it has influenced my work this year. The vibrant, joyous splashes of colour from kalamkaris and bandhanis of last season have given way to stark ikats and quiet jamdanis. However, my passion for things created by hand is only strengthened. As I realise, quite acutely now, that the creative process is as important as the creation itself. Let's look for as much meaning in the journeys as we do in the destinations. |
